I was born in Billings and lived in Joliet before moving to Oregon and attended Thurston High School. I worked as a CNA in High School and got a job in X-ray. From there I was part of a trauma team and worked during the Thurston High School shootings. I saw friends come in injured from the school shooting. I got an offer from the director of Building Maintenance and took a job doing building maintenance and security for a large hospital in Springfield Oregon. In 2003 I took a job doing Maintenance for the local county government and taking care of all County buildings. I was trained and certified in HAZMAT and CERT training. I was injured in 2013 and tried to work for 2 more years until I was told by my Doctor's that they would not be able to give me a full release back to work because of nerve damage in my legs. I was retired early. As I watched my children go to school in Oregon my wife and I realized we had to home school our children because the school system there wasn't teaching our children anymore, they were just babysitting them. I have always wanted to come back to Montana and retire where I was born. My wife and I decided to sell everything and make the move home. We put our kids in Lockwood schools and really liked that our kids were learning and actually doing good. I see the good the board was doing but also things that I would like to see improved. I have seen what schools can become when they don't have people on the board with morals. I refuse to let that happen here in Lockwood. The board as it is now IS a good board. I want to make sure it stays that way and make sure it doesn't go the way of the schools in Oregon. I believe the kids deserve more access to the school and that the kids shouldn't have to pay for something that the parents already pay for through taxes. I also believe that we should do everything in our power to make sure the kids are PROUD to have gone to Lockwood Schools. I have an 8th grader, a 4th grader and a one year old. I plan on being involved with this school district for at least 18 more years. I would like to make sure we keep this district on the straight and narrow and a place that our children love being part of.
