Southeast Ohio Classical Academy (SOCA) is a new classical charter school in Logan, Ohio. SOCA is a Hillsdale College Member School. k12.hillsdale.edu

Mission:
The mission of Southeast Ohio Classical Academy is to train the minds and cultivate the hearts of young men and women in moral character and civic virtue from a classical curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences. Our Vision:
That the children who attend Southeast Ohio Classical Academy will become virtuous citizens who learn to do good, seek truth, and love the beautiful.

On Thursday July 31st, some of our leadership staff at SOCA attended the second annual Ohio Classical and Liberal Arts K-12 Conference at The Ohio State University, Salmon P. Chase Center.

During this conference, Mr. Allen had the honor of speaking alongside other classical school leaders.

This event brought out nearly 90 representatives from around Ohio and surrounding areas to come together. Topics ranging from Artificial Intelligence to the Classical Learning Test and Classical Baccalaureate, the role of religion in classical education along with the policy environment facing classical schools.

SOCA camp has been a wonderful opportunity for our young scholars to get a head start on the school year — building skills, confidence, and friendships along the way.

We had so many selfless people come out to help move items from our storage room to the shipping container, deliver supplies to our new art room, shift furniture to classrooms, and haul items down into the basement.

It was a day of hard work and little play— but full of heart.

Small hands helped alongside strong hands, each one making a difference.

We are extremely grateful for every volunteer who showed up to support SOCA.

The staff and faculty of Southeast Ohio Classical Academy had the privilege to attend the Hillsdale K-12 summer conference. During this time of personal and professional development, teachers and administrators participated in sessions to further cultivate their understanding, appreciation, and application of our American classical education.

Our older students did an outstanding job at the Spring Fine Arts Night. It was wonderful to see the growth in their skills, creativity, and confidence throughout the year. Thank you to the families who came to support them during this special evening.
