The regularly scheduled meeting of the logan county amateur radio club. Has been moved to Saturday Feb 14th.

On Saturday June 7th 2025. Our club will be in chief logan state park participating in the Lewis and Clark on the air.( look for our banner) We will be there from noon until we decide to quit. The regular meeting of the club will be in the park at 6pm. As most our members will be there. Looking forward to all those who come to participate or fellowship.

There will be a regular meeting of the LCARC. Tomorrow at 7pm. We will not be doing a test session tomorrow as there will be one offered at the Charleston Ham fest. Same day. The Charleston ham fest is from 9am-1pm.

QST QST QST there will be a hosted amateur radio test session held Jan 4th and the cora vol fire dept. we are using the exam tools to get people registered for the exam as well. please go to the link to the session and get registered if you plan on attending the session and gaining your new license or upgrading your current one. we are offering all levels.

Once again, CCARC goes into the Field with W8LOG (Logan County Amateur Radio Club) for ARRL Field Day Activities. June 22/23 2024. We will be working a variety of different bands and modes for 24 hours. Come on out if you want to see amateur radio at work, doing simulated emergency comms. We're setting up starting this evening June 21 2024 and will be onsite through Sunday afternoon.

We'll be setup at the new "Rock Creek Development Park" on the old HOBET office complex property. GOTA station will be available for any unlicensed person to try out amateur radio operations.

QST QST QST. There will be a test session this Saturday November 4th 2023. Held at the Cora Vol Fire dept. Along with the regular meeting of the Logan County Amateur Radio Club. If you plan to test. Please make sure you have a FRN and Photo ID. Meeting at 7pm. Test to follow around 730.

It is with great sadness that we pass along the information that one of our club members John Smith. KI4RO. Has passed away.
Be became a silent key on August 11th.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

He is going to be cremated and a military graveside service will be performed at a veteran cemetery in Dunbar.

The Logan County Amateur Radio Club took to the outdoors this past weekend as we participated in winter field day. The event is a worldwide contest. Held over the last full weekend in January. It's purpose as a friendly contest is an exercise in emergency communications as well as self reliance as everything we did was supported by ourselves.
We operated as W8LOG , our club call and made roughly 200 QSOs. From all over.
Great friends, great comradery , good times overall.
