It’s been such an honor to participate in this election.. Today, we drew #3 on the ballot for the upcoming November 3, 2026 general election. I look forward to seeing you over the next several months! Thank you for all the love and support!

Thank you to everyone who came out and voted! Your voice was heard today London! I’m humbled to have been chosen as 1 of the 12 to move forward in the City Council November election💜I also want to congratulate those who made it through as well! And for everyone who was on the ballot in every city and county race. Keep your head held high you should be proud of yourself!

I want to thank everyone who’s showed me support throughout this process. Whether it be a phone call, a message, putting up signs at your residence or business, and for your vote. Early voting has ended and tomorrow is the last day to vote! If you haven’t voted, go make your voice heard at the ballot box! Win or lose, this has been a wonderful opportunity and I’m humbled to have had the privilege to meet so many of our amazing residents of London who make our city great! Thank you everyone💜

I’m not asking to be elected I’m asking for the opportunity to serve and represent our community. Because at the end of the day, a title doesn’t build trust, and a position doesn’t create change people do. Service is where real leadership begins. It’s showing up when no one is watching, listening when it’s not convenient, and putting the needs of others ahead of your own.

Being elected is a moment. Serving is a commitment.

Anyone can campaign for votes, but not everyone is willing to put in the work after the election is over. True leadership isn’t about recognition or status—it’s about responsibility. It’s about being accountable to the people, standing firm in your values, and making decisions that reflect the best interests of the entire community, not just a select few.

When you focus on service first, everything else falls into place. Trust is earned. Progress is made. And the community feels heard, respected, and represented.

So I’m not here just asking for your vote—I’m asking for your trust. I’m asking for the chance to work for you, to stand with you, and to serve this community with integrity, consistency, and purpose. Because leadership should never be about holding power it should always be about using it to make a difference.

May 19, 2026 is more than just a moment to me.

3 weeks away from Primary Election Tuesday.. This election matters to me.. Not only do I want your vote, I also want to represent you to the best of my ability while in office.. While I can’t promise you a Chik-fil-A or a waterpark in the city (both would be great btw).. I can however promise you that while in office I will make better decisions for London.. Smarter decisions for London.. I will not participate in negativity.. I will never mock or make fun of one of our wonderful citizens.. I will listen to you and your needs.. I will address your needs to the best of my ability.. I will work hard to make sure London is moving forward and in the right direction.. I will improve our relationship within the city government & our residents.. I will stay in my scope of practice.. I will do what’s right if I’m elected.. Tuesday May 19, 2026 vote for the person who will do everything he says he will do for the entire term, not just for 3-6 months to get your vote.. Vote Matt Allen for London City Council 2026.. If elected, I will work hard, listen to the community, and always remember that this position exists to serve the people of London.

Being accessible shouldn’t stop after the election. I plan to stay connected through community events, local meetings, and open communication with residents.

I also believe in meeting people where they are whether that’s in person, at community gatherings, or through social media and other communication channels.

People should always feel like they have someone on council who is willing to listen. My career as a counselor has prepared me for this moment.

My life experiences have shaped my commitment to serving others. Recovery changed my life, and since then I’ve dedicated myself to helping people and strengthening our community.

I’m not running for City Council for recognition I’m running because I care about London, its future, and the people who live here, including my family and your family. May 19th vote for someone who cares. Vote for someone who will listen. Vote for someone who understands. Vote Matt Allen!!

May 19, 2026 is the day to decide who gets your vote. Ask yourself, who do I want making decisions for me and my family? If you’re happy with the current administration, there’s your answer. If you’re not, allow me to be someone who earns your trust and puts your family first. Many people know me, many people don’t. I’m not someone who’s going to tie your tax dollars up with nonsense. I’m not someone who’s going to put my needs or wants ahead of yours. I’m someone who’s going to put your tax dollars to good use in a positive way. I’m someone who cares about what you want and what you need. I’m someone who cares about London, Ky and those who live here, those who have businesses here, those who help make our city a community. I always get asked the same thing: “Matt whose side are you on?” My answer is always the same: I’m on the side of our residents of London, not any specific political party, not any current or possible future persons in office, I’m for the citizens of London. If you want fair, vote for me. If you want honesty, vote for me. If you want collaborative work ethic, vote for me. If you want progress, vote for me. If you want transparency, vote for me. If you want your voice to matter, vote for me. A vote for me is a win for you!!

I’m not just a guy who will sit in a seat once or twice a month, I will be involved in our community as much as possible. My life was changed by people who believed in me. I want to make sure every young person in our community has the same opportunity to succeed and support needed. Our leaders should be role models and making positive impacts on the lives of those around us, especially our young folks. May 19th, 2026 vote for positivity, vote for leadership, vote for someone who cares about our community and the folks that reside in it, including our young folks. One day they will be making decisions for our city!

Come out this evening to the Laurel County Republican Women’s Club! I’ll be there along with several more folks running for offices! This is a good opportunity for the public to not only ask questions about issues or concerns, but to just get to know us!
