Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Second Shift Officers responded to an unattended vehicle on the curb last night…and found this!
McQuesten Farm created this float for the Manchester 2023 Holiday Parade and surprised MHT staff with some holiday cheer on their way back to Litchfield.
Longtime LPD Officer Charles “Chuck” Nickerson was in town this weekend and stopped by the LEO (law enforcement officer) office to say hello on his return home. Chuck retired in 2019 and served for many years on the midnigh shift in town and later on day shift at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. He and his family relocated south to much warmer weather in retirement. Great to see you L21!
Seen L-R are SGT. Andy Phillips, Officer Chuck (Ret.) Nickerson, and Capt. Patrick Cheetham and some photos of Officer Nickerson on patrol at MHT.
Starting October 1st, our officers will don new badges.
These badges honor those women who are currently fighting, have fought, or lost their battle with breast cancer.
In addition, the Londonderry, NH Police Association will make donations to several cancer foundations.
Hibernation time is over! This bear was caught on camera on March 26 on Quincy Drive and is reminder of the beauties of nature we find here in Londonderry.
If you see a bear, remain indoors and don't taunt or call at the bear. If you feel threatened, then please call 9-1-1 but we live in NH and bears will no doubt start making their way around town and around the state as they come out of hibernation. Here is a link to NH Fish and Game with some resources on bears.

Today we said goodbye and good luck to Chief William R. Hart. Jr. Chief Hart was escorted to the station for the final time in his car, Car 1, by the Londonderry and NHSP Motor Units.
Chief Hart served as Londonderry’s prosecutor from 1992 to 1995 before being elected the Rockingham County Attorney in 1995. Chief Hart rejoined the Londonderry Police Department in 2000 and would serve as a Captain until his appointment to Chief in 2009.
On behalf of the men and women of the Londonderry Police Department, Chief Hart, thank you for your dedication to the police department, the Town of Londonderry, and law enforcement across the State of New Hampshire.
While responding to an alarm today, Ofc. Guay met a resident who needed some assistance getting back into their yard.
We didn’t get the young lady’s name, but she thanked Ofc. Guay for his help.
Two of our officers (Ofc. Reitze and Det. Ford) drew the attention of someone waiting in the cell phone lot at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport earlier this week and sent us this video. We always like hearing about (and seeing) how our officers make a positive impact on those living in, or travelling through, our community. Thanks for sharing with us!
Here’s a video from yesterday’s Over the Edge event. 😱
No, it’s not Christmas time but we are having some legit snow today! Please slow down, give distance to the vehicle in front of you, and allow for extra travel time to your destination. Stay safe!
