On May 26th, 2025, Officers from Raymond Police Department and South Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving southbound on US 101 near Bay Center D**e Rd. The passenger of the vehicle was the subject of a several months-long investigation by the Pacific County Drug Task Force into the sales of controlled substances within Pacific County.

The vehicle was searched pursuant to a search warrant, and found within the vehicle was a total of greater than one half-pound of suspected fentanyl powder, as well as a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. Cash was found both within the vehicle, and on the passenger's person. Pictured is the suspected fentanyl located within the vehicle.

There is currently no statute in the RCW that establishes a per se limit as to what is a “Dealer amount” of a controlled substance. However, based on the training and experience of the members of the PCDTF, and the previous investigations that they have conducted, they were able to determine that this amount of fentanyl was substantially greater than an amount that drug users/dealers local to Pacific County would believe to be “Dealer amount.” While this amount could be purchased for approximately $5,000, it could then be sold for approximately $25,000 one gram at a time. Further, from previous investigations involving fatal fentanyl overdoses, the PCDTF believes that this amount of fentanyl could amount to approximately 1,000 fatal doses.

The subject was booked into the Pacific County Jail for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

This investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. The Pacific County Drug Task Force is made up of Law Enforcement Officers from Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, Raymond Police Department, Long Beach Police Department, and South Bend Police Department. The PCDTF can be contacted at [email protected], 360-642-9300 ext. 2847, and through privately messaging this Facebook account (sources may remain confidential).

On February 23rd, 2025, the Pacific County Drug Task Force located an individual driving westbound on US 101 in Chinook, WA, who was the subject of a several months-long investigation into the sales of controlled substances within Pacific County. The PCDTF conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Washington St W in Chinook, and detained the driver.

The driver’s vehicle was searched pursuant to a search warrant, and found within the vehicle was a total of approximately three-quarters of an ounce of suspected fentanyl powder, as well as a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. Pictured above is some of the suspected fentanyl located within the vehicle.

There is currently no statute in the RCW that establishes a per se limit as to what is a “Dealer amount” of a controlled substance. However, based on the training and experience of the members of the PCDTF, and the previous investigations that they have conducted, they were able to determine that this amount of fentanyl was substantially greater than an amount that drug users/dealers local to the Long Beach Peninsula would believe to be “Dealer amount.”

A subsequent search warrant for the subject’s residence on the Long Beach Peninsula was obtained, and with the assistance of Long Beach Police Department and Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, drug paraphernalia indicative of drug sales were found within the subject’s bedroom.

The subject was booked into the Pacific County Jail for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

This investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. On January 24th, 2025, Officers from South Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Robert Bush Dr, near Summit Ave. During the Officers' investigation, it became apparent that within the vehicle was a suspected controlled substance.

The Pacific County Drug Task Force was contacted, and responded to the scene. A search warrant for the vehicle was applied for, granted, and served. During the subsequent search, a plastic bag containing approximately an ounce and a half of suspected methamphetamine, as well as two additional plastic bags each containing approximately one-eighth of an ounce of suspected methamphetamine, were located. Additional items indicative of drug sales were located within the vehicle.

On January 30th, 2025, the driver of that vehicle, David Pedrazzetti, was located and arrested by the PCDTF on Warrenton Cannery Rd, in Tokeland. Pedrazzetti was then transported to and booked into the Pacific County Jail for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

This investigation and arrest was the result of the proactive traffic enforcement, diligent investigation, and cooperation with the PCDTF by South Bend Police Department.

This investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. As 2024 draws to a close, the Pacific County Drug Task Force would like to take a moment to reflect on the past year. The PCDTF’s primary function is to investigate violations of the uniform controlled substances act within Pacific County, WA, and places a particular emphasis on investigating the distribution of fentanyl within Pacific County. This is due to the higher lethality that has been observed from fentanyl, as well as the increased amount and potency of fentanyl that has been found circulating in Pacific County over the last few years.

The PCDTF has investigated multiple controlled substance homicides this year, which has resulted in the convictions of two individuals, A third individual was convicted in September, 2024, as a result from an investigation that took place in 2023. The delivery of fentanyl was found to be a factor in each of these deaths.

Our investigations that took place in 2024 have led to the seizure of approximately one-quarter pound of fentanyl powder, and nearly 7,000 pills that contained fentanyl.

The PCDTF also focuses on the distribution of methamphetamine within Pacific County. Our investigations that took place in 2024 have led to the seizure of approximately 10.5lbs of methamphetamine.

In total, the investigations conducted by the PCDTF in 2024 led to the arrest of over 20 individuals, along with the seizure of an approximate street value of $145,000 in controlled substances.

The PCDTF has been successful in its mission as a result of the cooperation and assistance of both federal and local agencies in surrounding counties that have similar objectives. The Pacific County Drug Task Force is made up of Law Enforcement Officers from the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, Raymond Police Department, Long Beach Police Department, and South Bend Police Department. The PCDTF can be contacted at [email protected], 360-642-9300 ext. 2847, and through privately messaging this Facebook account (sources may remain confidential).

This sentence stems from an investigation of the controlled substance homicide of Ryan Knight conducted by the PCDTF in February, 2024. On the morning of June 6th, 2024, the Pacific County Drug Task Force assisted Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on US 26, south of Seaside, OR. The driver of the vehicle was the suspect of an investigation of sales of controlled substances within Clatsop County that had spanned the past several months. While this individual lived and operated largely in Clatsop County, they were believed to have been a source of supply of controlled substances for multiple individuals selling controlled substances on the Long Beach Peninsula.

A search warrant for the vehicle had been obtained, and the pursuant search led to the seizure of approximately a quarter-pound of suspected fentanyl powder, five hundred suspected fentanyl pills, two ounces of suspected methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia that was indicative that the suspect intended to repackage and sell these controlled substances.

The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Clatsop County Jail for a similar charge to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

The PCDTF appreciates the cooperative efforts by Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office, Seaside Police Department, Cannon Beach Police Department, and Oregon State Patrol in this investigation and arrest, as the criminal activity in this matter affected all of our communities.
