Both of the dominant parties have become lax about behaving ethically.
That's why I decided not to chase money for my campaign. I took money from my relatives and I gave myself money from my own 403b. I printed materials on my own printer and purchased stamps. I bought all small signs. I designed my own rack cards and bought them from Vista Print, not to offend local printers, but to protect myself.
I have several loyal supporters who helped immensely.
I am not famous, nor do I wish to be. I'm not experienced in politics. We have plenty of lifelong, experienced politicians, at ALL levels of government, and look where they have gotten us. Many of them are focused on the NEXT election before this election has even occurred. Many of them have expressed indignation that I had the audacity to run.
On November 8, I know that regardless of the results, I can look at my mirror and see someone who believes in democracy and people over politics. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through your encouraging words and efforts.
