Rains permitting, our first practice in 2020 will be Sunday, February 9th at the Santa Clara County Horsemen's Association. Fingers crossed the weather holds!

As we're hoping to kick the season off soon, heads up that SVMA is now affiliated with the Mounted Archery Association of the Americas (MA3). Anyone participating in a practice must be a MA3 member.

Thanks to Jessie for this video of Campbell and Lefty taking a run down the course! We held another successful practice at Santa Clara County Horsemen's Association this past Sunday. Next practice there is Sept 8.

Beautiful views of San Francisco and the bay on our way home from Petaluma. We've concluded taking the long way round over the Richmond bridge instead of the more direct route up 19th ave and over the Golden Gate is much preferable when we have horses in tow.

We're looking forward to an exciting year! This is the first year that SVMA will finally be able to set up our own full-length, regulation 90 meter track. We plan to participate in IHAA postal matches and rankings.

For those that like to plan far in advance, here's a **TENTATIVE** list of 2019 dates. Generally 2nd and 4th Sundays, but there are some exceptions. Be sure to contact us first if you plan to attend any of these!

- If you are interested in trailering in your own horse, contact us!
- We do not have any loaner horses, but if you are new to the sport and want to learn more and/or watch what we do, we would be happy to share our knowledge. We have a limited amount of loaner archery gear, just contact us beforehand.
- For insurance reasons, we must require all participants in a practice to be members of Horse Archery USA (HAUSA). To take part in IHAA gradings, you will either have to be a member of the Mounted Archery Association of the Americas (MA3) or pay per entry.
