This month LAPD Harbor Officers got to participate in the Italian Run held in San Pedro. The turn out was amazing and the show of love and support by everyone was sorprendente (amazing).

What better way to start and end the race than to have an Italian icon Ferrari leading the way.

Though we may patrol the streets to keep the community safe, our Maritime unit is also on their beat. In collaboration with all the other departments LAPD boats are also patrolling the shores to keep everyone at Fleet Week 2026 safe.

For Fleet Week 2026 the armed service men and women were treated to a welcome event at the Korean Friendship Bell. Multiple speeches were given by Korean War Veterans as well as a Taekwondo performance.

The video and pictures do not do enough justice as to how beautiful and jam-packed this event was.

Fleet week begins today in the city of San Pedro packed with fun activities & music. All the families will also be able to see our stationed battleships and USS Essex carrier. Here are a few reminders and parking updates regarding the event.

Officer Corces and Officer Pineda were conducting high visibility patrol in Wilmington at a problem location when they observed a suspect in possession of copper wire. They conducted a pedestrian stop and an investigation into the wire theft. After they searched the RV, boy was it loaded!!! Multiple fi****ms were located and a bag full of ammunition.

Suspect was definitely arrested and sent downtown to a cell. We commend these officers on helping combat copper wire theft and getting guns off the streets.

It is with great honor and privilege that the Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division welcome the USS Essex and all of its sailors to San Pedro for Fleet Week 2026.

Fleet Week is a great way we are able to celebrate Memorial Day. We are able to support the presently serving men and women in the armed forces and also remember the ones we have lost but not forgotten.

We hope to see everyone this weekend have a great time and enjoy 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This month officers were advised of a vehicle in connection to shooting that had occurred in the city of San Pedro. While on patrol Officer Shah was able to locate the vehicle that was possibly involved. Multiple suspects were detained from the vehicle and the RV.

We also know that the RV was involved in the dealing of drugs and two dogs had incident reports against them for biting other citizens. The RV and two vehicles were impounded for evidence, the dogs were taken by animal control and on conducting a search multiple different types of ammunition was recovered from the suspect who was a prohibited possessor. The suspect was taken into custody.

This month Officer Tran and Officer received a radio call for a ADW Domestic Violence in progress. Due to their speedy response they were able to make sure the suspect was still at the target location. A perimeter was established with additional units arriving. After multiple call outs it was determined to call in Metro SWAT to assist patrol operations.

SWAT arrived and took over point. A little bit of gas and the suspect came out of hiding gasping for air. The suspect was arrested and will have to answer for his actions.
