Every once in awhile, I will have a thought come to me that I want to share. When people speak of the God talking to you, it is actually quite simple. When you receive thoughts, they come from the Holy Spirit. And when I receive messages like this I want to share them. Most of us in life experience downfalls. We experience disappointments, that is what life here on earth is. When people say Satan is in your life, most people will get insulted. What is there to be insulted about? If we believe in God, we must believe in Satan. He is evil and he is out to destroy. In I Peter 5:8 it says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." What does that say to you?
Anything good in life, that God has created.. Satan is out to destroy... so instead of questioning God, why your life is horrible, or why you are sick, or why is this happening to you, the answer is quite simple. It's because Satan is trying to destroy God's good work. Don't be insulted or ignore that the evil exists, because it does exist. And it always has and it always will.
Instead of asking yourself why is this happening to me. Realize who it's coming from and you will see the difference in your life.
Satan will never, prey on your strengths, he will prey on your weakness. For some it is alcohol or drugs, for some it is money, for some insecurities. Whatever the weakness is, he will find it and exploit it.
You must realize the following. We reap what we sow, our thoughts are the beginning of any seed we sow. Our thoughts are the pre requisite to any action, whether it be constructive or destructive. (Christ = Constructive ...... Devil = Destructive.) The fact is, we will reap what we sow. If we sow destructive thoughts, that is what we will reap. If we stay positive and try to focus on what is good, and what we can do for good, then we will see miraculous turn arounds. And I don't mean by money. I mean by happiness.
Sometimes, I will sit around and think deeply about life. I have experienced extreme sadness and disappointment and it is not an accident that when I found Christ in 2008, everything in my life changed. It was not an accident that once I started to attend Openwater Church with my Pastor David Towner giving me some unforgettable guidance... and reading the Bible and doing Bible Studies, did I get the understanding of how this all works.
I have changed the way I think, I have changed the way I approach things, and how I handle disappointments. As time goes on, I see how God works and it hasn't changed ever. Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
It doesn't change... you can read any religious book or new age book such as "The Secret" , "The Law of Attraction" etc etc. The bottom line is, God is God, He is "I am" It doesn't change. The Bible is our instruction guide to life everlasting.
We all need reminders from time to time. As before I wrote this, I was sitting in bed all day, feeling depressed myself. It would have been my mom and Dad's 49th wedding anniversary today. The weather is dreary and I have just been down in the dumps. When this thought came to me.
The message I received was this James 4:7, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." When you recognize that Satan is in your life trying to destroy, it makes life that much easier. So, Trust in God, don't feel like he is not listening. Don't feel like he has done something to you. You have free will, and I choose to trust in him and not worry. Because, he will always prevail and always take care of you.
Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
You can bet you are.... we all have what it takes to live a happy life and if we are not happy, it is because we are allowing the ultimate thief rob us of it.
God Bless you and I hope I have touched someone out there today. I am sure I did, because I know I received this though for a reason.
