Traveling abroad is exposure to the world beyond what we know. Many of our #SOHLA2Africa2019 young emerging leader delegation had never ventured beyond Los Angeles or California. With every excursion, local interaction with people, and historical landmark adventure, they learned to be in the moment. These new experiences helped us, staff included, to understand our global human and societal interconnections.
