When we were facing challenges getting nutrition supplies from Mogadishu, Somalia to our team in Baidoa, the Logistics Cluster stepped up to help.

A referral isn't just a recommendation. It's the process of helping a patient get from the facility they're at to the facility that can save their life.

After becoming critically ill following a difficult home birth, Nyabol was urgently referred for specialist care. Our team in South Sudan helped coordinate her transfer to Malakal Teaching Hospital, where she received the treatment she needed to recover.

CENTRAL AFRICA EBOLA UPDATE: The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), has become the country's fastest-growing Ebola outbreak on record and the second-largest in its history.

With funds from the US Department of State, DG ECHO and other donors, International Medical Corps teams are collaborating closely with ministries of health, key actors and response partners in the DRC, Uganda and South Sudan to help contain the outbreak while maintaining continuity of essential health services.
