G**s With Guns (GWG) was not organized in the attempt to classify Gay, LBT, GNS (gender non-specific) people as different from any other gun owner. The irony is that to overcome prevailing stigma surrounding gun owners we have to 'out' and label ourselves in order to raise public awareness that there are, indeed, people of the Gay, LBT, GNS minority demographic who are avid, responsible gun owners
and who're very pro 2nd Amendment. By raising public awareness we also help to reverse the stereotype that pro 2nd Amendment people are old, white, Christian fundamentalists, albeit, there are those too ;)
GWGunners believe the 2nd is vitally important to our nation, our civil liberties, self-defense and our peace of mind. GWG is as much about reaching out to the Gay, LBT GNS in order to:
-Promote GayLBT, GNS to get involved with and know the real 2nd amendment --as it was written, not "interpreted".
-Promote GayLBT, GNS to arm themselves and become comfortable handling a gun.
-Promote the responsible and safe use of fi****ms for everything from target practice and marksmanship to self defense.
-Promote the repeal of all anti-gun laws, especially those that restrict concealed weapon carry.
-Have FUN target practicing and honing our marksmanship skills.
