Happy ! Pride is not just a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, but a reminder of our ongoing responsibility to ensure every member of our school communities feels safe and supported to live their truth and express their identity. At a moment when some lawmakers are weaponizing public policy to sow hate and discrimination, it makes it all the more important for us to speak out against acts of hate and violence by embracing love and inclusion. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🫶

My heart breaks for the victims, their families, and the Muslim community devastated by yesterday’s horrific attack in San Diego. No one should have to live in fear of gun violence—especially in their places of worship or schools.

We condemn hate in any form, and must continue to teach the importance of kindness, acceptance, and inclusivity to create a future free from tragic violence.
