Congratulations to PPCC President Sue Kohl for being honored today at City Hall with great introductory remarks by CD11 Councilwoman Traci Park.

Sue Kohl was acknowledged for her incredible and calm-under-pressure style during these past challenging 18 months since the January 7th fire. Bravo to Sue for her continuous dedication, hard work, and commitment to our Palisades community.

Thank you to those who attended today, and here’s to further collaboration and teamwork in the years ahead. ♥️🏆🙌

There is still so much natural beauty in the Palisades, and so very fitting to remember Will Rogers and his family for bequeathing this land for us all to enjoy.

A few photos taken today overlooking Will Rogers Beach, and the Will Rogers Polo Fields - which are now active & open again.

“The best way out of a difficulty is through it.” ~ Will Rogers

How prescient of him, and a tribute to his wisdom and continued relevance. The Rogers’ household home at the top of the polo fields is gone, but their family spirit lives on. ✨✨✨

Our next PPCC meeting will be this Thursday, June 11th at 6 pm by Zoom. A Zoom link is available on our website at www.pacpalicc.org.

What is on the agenda? The Board will elect new PPCC officers for the coming term, starting on July 1st. The election will be by acclamation, as there were no other nominations at our last gathering.

The wonderful candidates being inducted for the 2026-2027 term are: President - Allison Holdorff Polhill; Vice-President - Reza Akef; Treasurer - Daphne Gronich; Secretary - Caroline Nick.

The Grants Committee is also recommending several grants to worthy recipients for Board approval. These include: the Palisades Task Force on Homelessness, the Palisades Business Improvement District, Canyon Elementary, GriefHaven, Tahitian Terrace Radio, and Firesafe Palisades.

There will be proposed comments on the draft for AECOM Long Term Recovery Plan (LTRP). And lastly, an important motion is on the agenda for Board approval.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday! Palisades Strong!
