Today, Council District 2 celebrated the grand opening of the Van Nuys Tiny Home Village — our 4th Tiny Home Village and the newest addition to a growing network of 715 interim housing beds across the district.
This site will provide 100 Angelenos experiencing homelessness with safety, stability, dignity, and the services they need to take the next step toward permanent housing. Case management, mental health support, housing navigation, meals, showers, and even a dog park, because everyone deserves to feel at home while they rebuild.
A huge thank you to Hope the Mission for operating this site with the same care and dedication they bring to every facility in CD2. To Pallet Shelter and Ford Construction for bringing this community to life. To Kadre Architects, the Bureau of Engineering, and our partners at the State level for making the funding and design possible. And to Mayor Bass for her leadership in keeping interim housing a citywide priority.
