Justice Policy Network

Justice Policy Network The Justice Policy Network recruits, trains & mentors a diverse group of individuals interested in pursuing and advancing a career in smart justice reform.

The Justice Policy Network (JPN) is a community for emerging and established leaders in criminal justice to advance the creation and implementation of transformative justice policies and practices. The network recruits and trains a diverse group of individuals interested in pursuing and/or advancing a career in the government sector specializing in smart justice reform. Smart justice looks at the

root cause of crime and the need to develop comprehensive outcomes instead of looking at the individual acts of crime. It seeks to treat an offense as a relational and educational opportunity for victims, offenders and all other members of the affected community

The JPN Fellowship Program is the nation's premier criminal justice training program for emerging criminal justice leaders interested in a public sector career and dedicated to pushing forward justice reform efforts. This year the program will also add a D.C./Baltimore cohort in addition to the Los Angeles class.

Over the course of a year, fellows meet with the nation's leading experts and movement makers on justice reform and explore the various issues that underlie the criminal justice system and ways to advance a reform agenda. The Justice Policy Network also provides ongoing mentorship and leadership development to all fellows.
