The DAIA summer program exposes students who reflect the diversity of our communities to library careers.
Through a mentored learning experience, apprentices are introduced to multiple facets of library life, from administration to programming to user services.

Ideal applicants are: enthusiastic about libraries and public service; good listeners; willing to share ideas and take risks; flexible and adaptable; able to work well in a team environment; computer proficient; capable of accomplishing goals and meeting deadlines; and have a strong ethic.

Incoming high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors.
