Mark Klein is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Colgate U. with a B.A. in English (let this be a warning to your children), and has made his living with laughter for over 30 years. He is also a thoroughbred race horse owner, real estate investor, husband, father, and the official walker of the dumbest dog in the world. Media credits include CBS, Showtime, Forbes, GQ, and Sirius XM. Mark headlines shows for cruise ships, corporate events, country clubs, resorts, and 55+ communities from Alaska to the Bahamas.

Brad Lanning is a a regular performer at what I consider my two home clubs: The Caravan (Louisville) and Comedy Off Broadway(Lexington). Stand up comedy was something I wanted to try for a long time. I put it of for the better part of a decade and finally signed up for an open mic in 2004 at The Comedy Caravan in my hometown, Louisville, Ky. I did 3 minutes and some of it worked. I experience and intense natural high that I continue to chase every time I do a show. My second time on stage was an open mic at bar in front of mostly comedians. None of it worked and I experience a natural low that I continue to avoid to this very day. I’ve been very lucky to have worked a wide variety of stand up shows and to have opened for some of the absolute best stand up comics in the world: Bert Kreischer, Greg Fitzsimmons, Kyle Kinane, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and recently I’ve been opening for Joey Diaz (The Church of What’s Happening Now/Joe Rogan Experience) when he performs in the Midwest/South.

Yesterday Chris Lewis sent out a mailer stating my wife was not a lifelong Republican, giving the impression she changed parties to run for office. Debbie has been a Republican for 25 years, before my first election to office. Like most young people, she probably changed after she got a fulltime job and wondered where all that money from her paycheck was going.

My youngest, Cailin, is graduating from EKU today. I would say I'm getting a raise but she didnt cost that much and she's going straight to grad school.
