While tailgating before the CSU vs Wyoming game, four young students stopped by to chat. The asked really good questions - why are you running? ans: I’m very qualified, over 46 years doing what the Treasurer does.
Then I asked them, isn’t Colorado becoming less and less affordable? The quickly agreed.
I replied, I would provide resources to help those who were never taught money management skills to become more skilled at managing the monies available to them.

They liked that idea.

Attended the ribbon cutting for the Loveland Amazon distribution facility.

Participated in this project while on city council from the very beginning.

So glad to see it finally open and have the opportunity to be a part of the official opening.

This is a huge investment by Amazon into Loveland!

When I tell people I have spent my career doing the work a Treasurer actually does, this is part of what I mean.
I served as the Department of Defense Director for the Medical Expense Reporting System, the financial reporting system used across military health care.
I also chaired the DoD committee that built the program for billing third-party payers for inpatient and outpatient care at military hospitals and clinics.
That is not theory. That is real money, real accounts, real accountability.
