The latest assassination attempt targeting President Trump is not just disturbing—it’s a warning about how far our political climate has deteriorated.

For years, conservatives have been labeled “extremists,” “radicals,” and “threats” simply for having different views. 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲.

This is not harmless rhetoric.

When people are repeatedly dehumanized, it creates an environment where hostility escalates and violence becomes more likely. What we are seeing now is the consequence of that pattern.

This must stop.

𝘞𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘴—𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. I’ve had people tell me they would never run for office because of what they see happening. That should concern all of us.

Violence must be rejected—completely and unequivocally—from all sides. But those who have fueled division through constant attacks and labels bear responsibility for the climate we are in today.

I’m grateful President Trump, Melania, and others are safe, and thankful for the Secret Service and law enforcement who continue to protect lives.

America is strongest when we respect one another—even when we disagree. It’s time to return to that.

This is more great news from SCOTUS!! Children need therapists who can help their patient navigate body issues whether anorexia, bulimia or gender dysphoria.

Therapists in Colorado will no longer be muzzled by the State & can now treat their patients based on needs vs a state mandated ideology.

For the past several years, you’ve trusted me to serve on the Thompson School District Board of Education, and together we’ve taken on tough issues, pushed for transparency, and made decisions that put our community first.

Now, I’m stepping forward to serve in a new way.

I’m running for Colorado State House in HD51 because what happens at the Capitol in Denver doesn’t stay at the Capitol - or in Denver. It impacts our schools, our families, our jobs, and the future our kids step into when they graduate.

And that future is getting harder for everyone in our community through rising costs, higher energy bills, and policies that seem disconnected from real life. At the same time, decisions made at the state level are increasingly shaping what happens in our classrooms, often without regard for local voices.

That’s why I believe this moment presents a rare opportunity.

I will finish my current school board term, and serving in both roles at the same time allows me to bring real, firsthand perspective into how state policy actually impacts local communities and make sure our voices are represented where those decisions are made.

I’ve never been afraid to stand firm and vote NO when something isn’t right - but I'm more than just a school board member.

My background is in solving complex problems and managing real budgets. As an executive leader and fractional CFO for over 40 years, I’ve helped large scale companies work through difficult financial challenges, navigate regulatory framework, and I understand what it takes to keep a community economically stable and growing. With Colorado facing a $1.5 billion budget shortfall, the timing could not be more critical.

That same approach is what I will bring to the State Capitol.

This campaign is about representing the entire community. It’s about restoring balance, protecting local control, defending our rights, and bringing accountability back to the government.

It’s about making sure that when our kids graduate, they aren’t stepping into a Colorado that’s becoming unaffordable or unrecognizable but one that is strong, safe, and full of opportunity.

I’m running in the Republican primary for House District 51, which serves the Loveland community. The primary election is June 30, 2026 with the general election November 3, 2026.

I would be honored to earn your support.

I will also say that I am disappointed the district and the board president have decided to hold the vote to certify the property tax rates in Colorado Springs and not here locally.
I have concerns and questions regarding the mill levy rate (tax rate) for the 2025 bond debt and these are the questions I submitted to the district CFO this morning.

Today I am headed to Colorado Springs for my 5th CASB conference. Time flies when you are having fun!

I will also say that I am disappointed the district and the board president have decided to hold the vote to certify the property tax rates in Colorado Springs and not here locally.

I have concerns and questions regarding the mill levy rate (tax rate) for the 2025 bond debt and these are the questions I submitted to the district CFO this morning:

• What was the 2005 final bond debt payment amount paid in 2025?
• What is the total amount of tax collected in 2025 for the 2005 bond debt?
• Why does the bond redemption fund have such a large carry forward balance each year?

I am struggling with the concept that we are assessing a tax on property owned/purchased in 2025 for the bond approved in November.

• At this time there is no bond debt as the bonds have not been issued.
• Most of bond issuance costs will be deducted from the new bonds issued.
• There should be enough money in the Bond Bank account to cover additional costs.
• Is the interest earned on the money in the Bond Redemption Bank account stay in this account?
• The assessment is to collect tax in 2026 to make debt payments for the 2025 Bond debt, BUT no debt exists in 2025

In my opinion, the certification should remove the mill levy rate for the 2025 bond debt and should not be assessed until December 2026.

I will post the answers to the above questions once I receive from the district CFO.

Tomorrow is the deadline for applications to be considered for the Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee.

The best way to ensure Thompson School District is representative of the community it serves, is for the YOU to participate in the oversight of your school district.

The CBOC is a great way to get involved, understand the issues and to make a difference.

Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee - Thompson School District's 2025 bond addresses critical repairs, upgrades safety, adapts to changing enrollment, and plans responsibly for the future.

The settlement gives eight Colorado school districts enforceable protections, clarifying their authority to classify sports teams and intimate facilities according to biological s*x. According to the agreement, CHSAA “will not sanction any team, competitor, or school… for its policies related to athletic participation by transgender student athletes,” which includes team designations, competition decisions and facility use.

Districts may separate locker rooms, hotel rooms and overnight accommodations without triggering any discipline from the activities association.

The agreement also clarifies that if a school forfeits a contest involving a transgender athlete, the only result is a recorded loss. CHSAA cannot treat the decision as a sportsmanship violation or launch an investigation.

That clarity gives districts confidence to enforce their policies consistently without risking further penalties.

Because the agreement is a binding settlement, its terms remain in force regardless of changes in CHSAA leadership. Future boards cannot undo the obligations created by the contract."

Colorado school districts secure a landmark settlement with CHSAA affirming s*x based athletic policies and protecting fairness, privacy and Title IX compliance.
