I am honored to join the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg ceremony at the Massachusetts State House today in support of Special Olympics Massachusetts.

This inspiring event brings together law enforcement officers, athletes, and community leaders to celebrate inclusion, determination, and the incredible spirit of Special Olympics athletes as they prepare for the Summer Games.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped carry the Flame of Hope.

Happy Pride Month to everyone in the 18th Middlesex District and beyond! This month provides an opportunity to honor the trailblazers who fought for basic human rights and to acknowledge the ongoing journey toward full legal and social acceptance. Let us continue to support our LGBTQ+ community in building a society grounded in mutual respect, love, and shared humanity.

Today I was proud to testify before the Joint Committee on Transportation in support of bill S3077, an Act to enhance the safe use of micromobility devices. This legislation, filed by Governor Maura Healey, will improve safety standards for e-bikes, scooters, and other micromobility devices.

Many folks, including people in the district I serve, rely on micromobility devices to get to work, to school, and to make trips to local businesses. I have heard from members in our community who understand the need for micromobility devices, but support stronger safety standards and clearer expectations to protect everyone.

A few weeks ago, I joined my fellow members of the Asian Caucus for an AAPI Small Business Tour in Quincy, including visits in Speaker Mariano’s district and Rep. Tackey Chan district.

We had the opportunity to visit local businesses including H Mart, China Pearl, Kam Man Food, and Pho Countryside. It was great hearing directly from owners and workers about both the opportunities and challenges they face while running small businesses today.

During this Small Business Month and AAPI Heritage Month, it’s important that we continue to shop local, support our small businesses, and uplift one another in our communities.

This morning, I joined my colleagues at the State House to celebrate and honor AAPI Heritage Month, featuring artwork from Asian artists displayed in the State House. I am honored to be part of this event.

I’m also looking forward to helping bring some of Lowell’s finest artwork to the State House next week as well. I will share more details next week!

Thank you to Amy Sangiolo for State Representative for putting this great event together.

Last week week; It was great to join Healthy Youth & Parents Through Partnership & Empowerment (HYPPE) with the Greater Lowell Health Alliance, Lowell High School, Lowell MA, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell, Girls Inc., Butler Middle School, Sullivan Middle School, and Project LEARN, Inc. for their “Spill the Tea” session.

I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the students, share my story so far as a State Representative, and talk about how young people like them can be a powerful force for change in our community.
