West Texas deserves to have representation that spends time in the community talking to folks and actually living here. It deserves someone who wants West Texas to be the best it can be.

Parents, how are we doing?

Now that most folks have settled into back to school season, I want to check in with the parents who are trying to bring up smart, kind, well-rounded kids. Whether it be public, homeschool, or private, you're investing in your child's future, and that can be terrifying. As a new parent myself, let me be the first to say:

You're doing a great job.

Raising a person is hard, and if you're spending time worrying about whether your child is getting an education that will set them up for the future, you're not alone. It's a sign that you care, and caring is a sign of good parenting.

It's a scary world, and it feels like we need to prepare our kids for challenges we never had to face. Take it day by day, you got this.

Another Saturday spent working hard to meet folks where they are and reaching out to new voters!

This morning Team Rable went block walking and talking with folks about our fight for the working class.

At the same time volunteers were at HQ writing post cards and packing voter registration packets! Thank you Kim Gonzalez for leading the effort every Saturday!

Campaigns like ours are won on the ground, not behind closed doors or out of the district. And we will spend every chance we get talking with regular folks.

Rural healthcare needs help, and it’s time we do more than say kind words.

Today I went to Tahoka to tour the Lynn County Hospital and learn more about the services our rural healthcare clinics provide.

With cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, and an insurance system built for the profit of billion dollar corporations, our rural healthcare systems are struggling.

We need to fight to ensure that we provide full support to these vital institutions who provide much needed care across West Texas. It’s time to fully fund Medicare and Medicaid AND force the health insurance industry to actually provide coverage.

Today we celebrated the 118 birthday of the best Texan to ever be President, Lyndon Baines Johnson.

With hamburgers and hotdogs we celebrated the man who signed Medicare and Medicaid into law. Ensured access to higher education to working class families through the federal loan program. And signed the 1964 and 1965 Civil Rights Acts, along with 1965 Voting Rights Act, into law.

It’s time Texas Democrats remember their roots in the New Deal and Great Society and fight for the working class.

I’m proud to work to further that fight here in West Texas.

We’ve been all over the district this week: talking with voters in Sweetwater, speaking out against Data Centers in Abilene, and I’ll be touring the rural healthcare facility in Lynn County.

Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for my opponent to agree to debate me.

But this week he’s been in South Texas to campaign with the Epstein Class, and his campaign was cozying up to AI execs and Big Tech at the same event I went to in Abilene.
