💜 EAST LUBBOCK — THANK YOU.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the love and the shout‑out shared after the January 8th Planning & Zoning meeting. I was honored to stand with our community, but what happened that night was bigger than any one person. It was a reflection of what East and North Lubbock have always done — show up, speak truth, and defend our neighborhoods with courage and unity.

When residents filled that room…
When lived experiences were put on record…
When we stood together…
The commission listened. And change happened.

As we move forward, the work continues. The final decision now goes to City Council:

📢 Take Action for a Safer North & East Lubbock

Prairie dog infestations across North and East Lubbock—especially in neighborhoods like Parkway—are no longer just an inconvenience. They’re a threat to public health, safety, and community infrastructure.

Children are playing on fields riddled with burrows. Sidewalks and irrigation systems are being damaged. And the risk of disease from fleas carried by prairie dogs is real.

Meanwhile, other neighborhoods remain clean, maintained, and protected. This disparity is unacceptable.

We’re calling on city officials to take immediate action.
Sign our petition to support humane and effective prairie dog eradication in North and East Lubbock. Every signature helps amplify our voice and demand equal treatment for all communities.
