Pursuant to an order by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, effective June 1st, individuals in the Commonwealth with a felony conviction can only lose their voting rights if convicted of an offense that existed as a common law felony in 1870. If an individual has a felony conviction that is not an applicable common law felony, they may be eligible to register to vote upon further evaluation. Visit the new ELECT website that displays updated voter eligibility information for individuals with felony conviction (link in comments below).

Need help registering to vote? I can help you with that just outside the parkside gate entrance to VFR's Pulling in the Park event tonight. Trucks, tractors, concessions, and a convenient way to have your voice heard in upcoming elections!!

Registration is free. Event prices vary by age and set by Victoria Fire & Rescue. Event attendance is not required to accomplish your voter registration application with me outside the paywall/gate.

Don't let a traditional work week schedule keep you from exercising your right to vote. We also have Saturday early voting hours the two weeks immediately before Election Day. Mark your calendars with your voting plan and cast your ballot in whatever method is most convenient for you.
