The Board of County Commissioners meet on Tuesday of each week beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Chesapeake Hearing Room located on the main floor of the County Administration Building, located at 150 Main St. Evening meetings are scheduled when necessary. All regular or special meetings are open to the public. The Commissioners also meet in Executive Session, as allowed by law. Important Notice Closures for Private Events: Grill 19 Update

Saturday, August 8, 2026:
CHGC Grill Room and the patio will close to the public at 2:30 PM for a private event. After that, we’ll be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, and drinks at the turn until 7:30 PM.

⛳ Course Update: USGA Agronomist Visit & Turf Report Available

Recently, Darin Bevard, Director of Championship Agronomy for the United States Golf Association (USGA), visited Chesapeake Hills Golf Course to evaluate our course conditions and provide recommendations for the continued improvement of our golf course.

Darin met with our staff, toured the course and provided valuable insights into turfgrass management, course conditioning, and long-term maintenance strategies. His expertise helps us continue our commitment to providing the best possible playing experience for our golfers.

We believe in being transparent with our golfers and sharing the work that goes into maintaining Chesapeake Hills. That's why we've made the full agronomic report available for everyone to read.

Grill 19 Update for Saturday, August 1:

Grill 19 and the patio will close to the public at 2 p.m. for a private event. After that, hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, and drinks will be served at the turn until 7:30 p.m.

Great news, golfers the Driving Range is Officially OPEN again! 🎉

Following the successful completion of our new safety netting project, the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course Driving Range is officially back open. The range is open during regular course operating hours except for 4 p.m. every Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday when it is closed for turf maintenance.

The new netting enhances safety while allowing you to get back to practicing your swing with confidence.

Whether you're preparing for your next round, working on your long game, or introducing someone new to golf, our driving range is ready for you!

Please be advised that the CHGC patio will be closed to the public Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2 p.m. for a private event.

Grill 19 will remain open durint this event with normal operating hours.

Please be advised that, due to worsening outdoor air quality conditions, all Calvert County Parks & Recreation outdoor facilities and programs are canceled beginning at 1 p.m. today, Friday, July 17.

The safety of our participants, visitors and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to limit outdoor activity while air quality conditions remain poor.
