Lakeland Community College invites families to celebrate the Halloween season at its free Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family-friendly event promises a fun-filled evening where attendees can collect candy and goodies from a variety of decorated trunks. These trunks will be hosted by Lakeland departments as well as community partners, including local first responders.

Hello everyone! My name is Alysia Parsley and I am the new Lakeland CC Student Veterans Club president! I am a military spouse and mother to two young boys. My major is in Human Services which I hope to use my degree be a non-clinical Patient Advocate, ultimately I will continue my education with a masters in Social Work so that I can work towards being a licensed therapist. My favorite pastimes are watching my boys practice martial arts and play baseball, attempting martial arts myself (key word attempting), and action figure hunting with my husband.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve the Lakeland CC student veterans and military connected students! I am honored to be part of the community and the Lakeland CC Student Veterans Club! Please join us for our meetings in S-216 on Wednesdays at 1400! Your participation helps us better serve the community and plan events!
