Please be advised that the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad will be closing County Road No. 62 (Maple Avenue) in the Town of Machias for the purposes of replacing the Railroad Crossing. An off-site detour will be posted.
This closure will occur between State Route 242 and Union Street, from August 10, 2026 through August 12, 2026.

Please note: Canada Hill Road at Maple Valley Road to the Canada Hill 4000-8000 intersection will be closed to traffic on Wednesday and Thursday (July 29 & 30) for road construction starting at 6 a.m.

Join us for McRec Night at McDonald's on Monday, July 13th from 4:00–7:00 PM!

Come enjoy a delicious hotcake meal served by our Recreation Staff, Life guards and the Machias Youth Commission Board Members!!

🎟️ Tickets are just $3 each! (And will also be sold at the door!)

Information on how to sell will be sent home with your kiddos, TOMORROW, July 7th. We encourage everyone to sell tickets to friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers—the more tickets we sell, the more support we can provide for our summer programs!
Every dollar raised goes directly to support our 2026 Summer Recreation & Swim Program, helping us create another fun-filled summer for the children in our community.
