MEDIA RELEASE: Public’s Assistance Locating Suspect Wanted For Murder

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 20 year old Hymetheus Malik Johnson of Macon. A Murder Warrant has been issued for Johnson’s arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred just after 7:00 p.m. Friday night. Jovante Passard, 23 years of age, was found shot multiple times in the front lawn of 852 Trade Wind Road. Passard later died at the Navicent Health Hospital.
Hymetheus Johnson is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Johnson was seen leaving the scene in a 1999 green Honda Accord. It is believed that Johnson has since abandoned the vehicle in an unknown location.
A jail file photograph of Johnson is attached. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hymetheus Malik Johnson is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
