On 3/6/26 at approximately 2229 hours, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a suspicious person report in the area of 465th Ave and 223rd St. The reporting party stated there was a male at his residence who stated his name was Clifford and his vehicle broke down. Our Deputy arrived in the area shortly after and located the individual walking. The individual was identified as Zachariah Ryan.

Zachariah was taken into custody without incident, for the Department of Corrections. Thank you to the public for your assistance in this matter, we appreciate it!!

Douglas Robert Christensen, a 52-year-old Madison resident, was sentenced to 10 years in the South Dakota Penitentiary during a sentencing hearing at the Lake County Courthouse on Dec. 2.
