Another record-breaking year for tourism in Wisconsin and right here in Brown County — and the success of the NFL Draft played a major role.

A big thank you to Discover Green Bay and everyone who helped make this incredible event possible. Great work by all involved!

With June being Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to share a throwback to a video from just after the state budget was signed into law highlighting one of the provisions I was proud to secure: $7 million in state funding for Wisconsin's 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available by calling or texting 988.

Let's continue working to break the stigma surrounding mental health and ensure support is there when people need it most.

Today, we commemorate the anniversary of D-Day, one of the most pivotal moments in world history.

On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave American service members joined Allied forces in the invasion of Normandy, beginning the liberation of Europe from N**i tyranny. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom changed the course of the war and the world.

As we reflect on their heroism, let us honor the veterans who stormed the beaches of Normandy and remember the tremendous price paid by those who never returned home.

May we never forget the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation and the freedoms they secured for us all.

This world lost a great human being. For those of you who don’t recognize the man in this picture, he was the Capitol Photographer. I simply know him as Photo Joe.

Joe was a professional all the way. It didn’t matter what your political affiliation or beliefs were. He treated everyone with the same dignity, professionalism, and respect. He was always in the shadows, yet present with us. He was a great example of serving those around him without needing praise or recognition.

Personally, Joe helped me as a new legislator. He gave me little pointers along the way. In a way, he reminds me of a caring family member that always reminds you to walk tall and with confidence. He cared for all Representatives and he will be missed. I pray for peace for his family. This world lost a Giant. Rest peacefully Joe.

This weekend is Wisconsin's Free Fishing Weekend! 🎣

Whether you're an experienced angler or looking to introduce someone to fishing for the first time, this is a great opportunity to enjoy Wisconsin's incredible lakes, rivers, and streams. During Free Fishing Weekend, residents and nonresidents can fish without purchasing a fishing license or trout stamp.

Wisconsin's outdoor traditions are a big part of what makes our state special, and I encourage everyone to get outside, enjoy our natural resources, and make some memories on the water.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Far too many men struggle in silence with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This month serves as an important reminder to check in on the men in our lives, encourage open conversations, and make sure those who are struggling know they are not alone.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Let's continue working to break the stigma surrounding mental health and support one another.

Today we celebrate Wisconsin’s 178th Birthday!

For 178 years, Wisconsin has been a place of opportunity, strong values, and hardworking people who make our communities and state great. It's been an honor to make my own small mark on state history this past session with 10 pieces of legislation signed into law! Here’s to our history, our heritage, and the bright future ahead for the Badger State.

4 out of 5 Wisconsinites support the "Return the Surplus" package I voted in favor of. This bipartisan compromise would have returned the surplus back to you while also providing property tax relief, support for our local schools, and help for hardworking people to manage rising costs. That’s why I urged the Governor to call the Legislature back into a Special Session so we can pass these common-sense reforms and do what's best for Wisconsin.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy every day.

This morning, my colleagues and I sent a letter to Governor Evers thanking him for his willingness to work with the Legislature to reach a bipartisan compromise that would use the surplus to provide meaningful and immediate relief to the people of Wisconsin.

Despite the challenges we faced in gaining Senate support, my colleagues and I remain committed to working across the aisle to get this done.
