Tuesday, December 30, I was officially sworn in as an elected trustee for Madison Township—a moment I am incredibly honored and humbled by. Being entrusted with the responsibility to serve our community is something I take very seriously, and it’s a privilege I am deeply grateful for. At the same time, we said goodbye to Max Anderson as a township trustee who has faithfully served our community for the past 16 years.

I’m deeply grateful for his service and the example he set. As I begin this new role, I do so with respect for the foundation he helped build and with a commitment to serve our township with the same care and dedication.

Thank you for your years of service—you will always be a part of Madison Township’s story.

⚠️Exciting News for Madison Township!⚠️

The Lake County Commissioners have officially approved the sanitary sewer extension project. The project starts at the Verizon Store and proceeds west on RT. 20 ending approximately 600 feet west of Haines Rd. — a major step forward for our community’s infrastructure.

This project was originally spearheaded in 2021 by retired Trustee Ken Gauntner, along with Trustees Max Anderson, Pete Wayman, and Administrator Tim Brown. Since then, we’ve continued working closely with the Lake County Department of Utilities to move it toward completion.

Funded through Federal ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) dollars designated for infrastructure improvements, this project will benefit current businesses and property owners while making the area more attractive for future economic development.

The work will take place on the south side of Route 20 and will not impact the existing roadway. The timing of this project aligns well, as construction cannot occur concurrently with an active ODOT project in the same area.

Water and sewer projects are managed by Lake County, with construction expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The Krizman family has been a meaningful part of my life for over 20 years. I had the privilege of coaching their children through YMCA swimming and Madison High School swim team, and through the years, they have always offered their encouragement and support—first as a coach, and now as I work to continue as a Madison Township Trustee. I’m truly grateful for their friendship and endorsement, and I’ll continue working hard for families like theirs across Madison Township.
