***UPDATE***
Received a bunch of photos from today’s event so I wanted to share them all with you. So if you haven’t looked already you’re in for a treat and if you have come check out the newest antics Post 12213 Comrades and Auxiliary were up to today.
Today, VFW Post 12213 proudly completed our VFW Day of Service project at the Magnolia Historical Society, restoring and staining the deck of the historic J.M. Ware, M.D. Doctor’s Office at the Magnolia Depot.
This project was about more than just improving a deck—it was about preserving a piece of Magnolia history and continuing our mission of service to the community we call home. Our members and volunteers came together to clean, prep, and apply a fresh protective stain to help preserve this historic landmark for years to come.
A special thank you goes to Magnolia Lowes Home Improvement Store for their generous assistance with supplies and support of this project. Community partnerships like this make these service projects possible.
We would also like to recognize and thank the 4 Comrades ( Commander Jack Hardy, Jim Russell Texas VFW Department Chaplain 25-26, Roger Collins, Karl DE Linebacker Garrett) and 4 Auxiliary (President Tara Bruso, Terri DeBoard Russell, McDonald, and Dewitt) members who came out to support this effort. Also, a SUPER SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to our amazing Sr Vice (and soon to be) Commander Cliff Cornell for taking the time and preparing the deck by power washing it on Thursday, so we had a clean and dry surface to work with! Your time, hard work, and dedication helped make this project a success and truly reflect what service and teamwork are all about.
We are proud to serve—not only veterans, but our entire community.
