📚 Volunteers Needed for Our Summer Fest Sidewalk Book Sale! ☀️

We are looking for a few more volunteers to help with our June 6th book sale!

If you have an hour to spare, we’d love your help with set-up, clean-up, or helping during the sale. It’s always a fun day of books, community, and supporting our local library ❤️📖

We are excited to be part of the Clarion Summer Fest again this year with a sidewalk book sale during the pop-up shops on Saturday, June 6th. Book sales are one of the biggest fundraisers for the library, and we will need volunteers to help us sell and organize books throughout the day.

In case you missed our earlier post - we're on a break! Guest bartender will be back -- bigger and better than ever -- in 2027! We felt the need for a rebuilding year. We will be excited to see you at Sparrow Book's grown up book fair on June 25 and at our summer book swap we're planning for later this summer at Mechanistic. And of course...who can forget Stew and Brew - we're excited for that as well. We'll see you back for guest bartender in 2027!

It's International Family Day. What books did you enjoy reading as a child or reading to your child or family member? The library has resources for all families and the Friends encourage you to check out a library book today! We support the library by providing funds for materials and programming so every family can enjoy the Clarion Free Library.

While we may not be guest bartending this June, we do have a fabulous summer event planned with the amazing Sparrow Books! Sparrow is hosting their second annual grown up book fair and fundraiser for the library. There are different ways to participate. We can promise you a fantastic night filled with books, games, raffles, amazing mocktails served up by Clarion River Brewing Company and snacks! (There is even going to be a signature mocktail!) While the theme is a "fantastical book fair" there will be items for readers of every genre. We'll be spilling more details as we get closer. Get your VIP ticket at Sparrow for $25 or it's $5 at the door.
