Our June meeting date is the same date as Scioto County's Summer Kick-Off event, so for the third year in a row, the county board is graciously inviting all of us to join them for a day filled with fun summer activities.
The location has changed, so note that this year the event will be at the Shawnee State Park Ohio River Campground. We hope to see you there!

The Ohio Tech Ambassadors shared their favorite phone apps today at our regular monthly meeting. Apps ranged from one that control appliances in home to apps that help with navigation outside the home.

Congratulations to Chief Ron Meyers on being selected for the Ohio Supreme Court Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton Crisis Intervention Team Champion of the year award!

The award recognizes an individual that goes above and beyond in development and implementation of CIT core elements and advocating for empathetic care.

Crisis intervention team (CIT) is a community-based program that partners law enforcement with mental health professionals to improve responses to mental health crises. It trains officers to de-escalate situations, reducing arrests and diverting individuals toward treatment rather than jail.

Ross County’s Capital City Crusaders joined me today to speak on the Blue Envelope Program to staff of OSU’s Nisonger Center and Franklin CBDD.
They did an amazing job speaking about the program and fielding questions.
