🚔💚 Norwich Police Officers Going Bald for a Cause! 💚🚔

This Saturday at the Norwich St. Baldrick’s event, three officers from the Norwich Police Department will be taking a seat in the barber’s chair and shaving their heads in support of children battling cancer.

By going bald, they’re helping raise critical funds for lifesaving childhood cancer research and showing solidarity with the brave kids who fight this disease every day.

Now they need your help! Please consider supporting these officers by donating to their individual fundraising pages. Every contribution — big or small — helps fund research that gives kids with cancer better treatments and brighter futures.

⬇️ Check out the officers’ pages below and support their efforts:

Stay Warm this weekend, City of Norwich! We’re Out Here With You. 🚔

Our officers are on patrol 24/7, but we need your help to keep everyone safe during this cold snap.

Look Out for Neighbors: A quick phone call or knock on the door for a senior neighbor can save a life.

Watch the Paws: Salt and ice can irritate your pet's paws. Wipe them down after walks and remember if you're cold, they are cold.

Check Your Vehicle: Ensure your tires are aired up and you have a small emergency kit (blankets, water, flashlight) in the trunk.

If you see someone—or an animal—in distress and without shelter, don't hesitate to give us a call. Let's look out for one another!

If shelter is needed the warming center is open.

The Civilian Police Academy is not a program to become a volunteer Police Officer. Instead, it’s an educational opportunity for community members to get an inside look at how their police department works.
Participants learn about real world police procedures, equipment, investigations, training and day to day responsibilities. It’s a chance to ask questions, see demonstrations, and understand why officers do what they do.
The goal is simple: build transparency, strengthen community relationships, and give residents a better understanding of the realities of policing.
