Trees contribute to our community's quality of life, property values, wildlife, and business attractiveness. Perry encourages the planting and maintenance of a variety of trees along our streets as well as in private plantings to enhance the village’s natural beauty.

🏆 April’s Tree Scavenger Hunt Winners!

🌳 Out of all the scavenger participants, Kimmie Hill McDanel and her son found the most Redbud trees in the village. They found 11 of the village’s 13 Redbud trees! (Plus a bonus Redbud in their yard.) As a prize, they chose a $10 Give Perry Gift Certificate.

🔎 As a reminder, May’s Tree Scavenger Hunt is still going on. This month is highlighting our Catalpa trees!

🤔 Have you noticed the PoeTREE on Perry's store front windows? Written by Perry Elementary School students!
🌳 Winners will be announced in June during a school assembly. Prizes will later be given out during the Tree Board's belated Arbor Day celebration (also in June. Details to come!)

🌎 Happy Earth Day from the Village of Perry Tree Board!

In typical Wednesday form, the crew got together to better Perry’s trees. 💪 Today’s work evening involved laying down ground cloths, putting on trunk guards, laying down mulch, and tying on tree tags. 🤔 Speaking of tree tags and looking for them…

The Village of Perry Tree Board Presents: Monthly Tree Scavenger Hunts! 🌳

🚶 Explore the "village arboretum" for a chance to win a tree or a giftcard to a local business. Each month from April-October, guiding clues will direct participants to find specific trees throughout the village.

🤔 The clues will be posted on our page under the "Monthly Tree Scavenger Hunt" album.

💬 Participants must then take photos of the corresponding tree tags and send the images via direct messaging on Facebook. The first person to correctly complete the challenge wins! 🏆
