Congratulations to all those who finished their Basic Fire School today wrapping it all up with live burns.

Thank you to the Chiefs who trusted us and sent their firefighters to us for this important training. Remember, this is just the start and not the end, the more you train the safer both you and your communities are!

And thank you to Marks Towing Service for always supporting us!

Last weekend for the basic fire school for this year. The students are starting to really show their skills now and make good progress.

Live burns tomorrow will complete their requirement for this course and put them on the right path to help their communities and set them up for further education.

This week’s training had our firefighters working and practicing with ropes and knots.

To make this more memorable we welcomed one of Honorary Members, Brian Forbes, who is exceptionally good with ropes in as a guest instructor.

Thanks for coming out and giving us a hand Brian!!

One of the best ways we can honor a fallen firefighter is to train. We will maintain the protection of our communities and ensure that our personnel are as safe as they can be while remembering those that came before us.

Today we continue the Basic Fire School Academy in Sinclair.

Please be advised that for your convenience, the dumpsters have been moved back to the parking lot by the 5 Lakes Community Center.

We hope that all campers will take care of this area and not clutter it up with unneeded garbage instead of putting it in the dumpster. If you have short term rentals, please notify those that use this service.

Today we recognize International Firefighters Day, celebrating the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of firefighters globally.

Held annually on St. Florian's Day, it honors those who risk their lives to protect communities and remembers those lost in the line of duty. (Saint Florian is believed to be one of the first commending firefighters of a Roman battalion and is the patron saint of firefighters.)

Today we recognize the risks firefighters confront, honoring both volunteer and career firefighters across all sectors (rural, urban, wildland, aviation and industrial).
