Officers responded to the area of Route 29 (Morehall Rd) and Flat Rd for a sinkhole that developed in the travel lanes of Route 29. Penndot responded and is assessing the situation. Preliminary, some portion of Route 29 will be closed to traffic in the northbound direction immediately. This could lead to both directions being closed pending Penndot’s decision.

If possible, please try to avoid this area.

We will update as information becomes available.

This cute pup was found near People’s Light and Theater on Conestoga Rd. They weren’t wearing a collar and we couldn’t locate a chip. (They wouldn’t let us check if they’re a boy or girl). Our officers have taken them to the Brandywine SPCA
