Vermont Reading Partners board members and tutors join Manchester Lions Club members as they assemble over 1,000 goody bags that will be given to each child riding the Elf Express this weekend, December 15th and 16th. Tickets for the Elf Express are still available at the r.k. Miles Dept Station for all Sunday rides, 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30; come join the holiday fun!

Team GNAT will be back to defend their title as Vermont Reading Partners presents the 3rd Annual Spelling Bee on 11/7/2018 at 6:30 PM at MEMS. Admission is $2.00 at the door. Come join the fun, cheer on your favorite spellers, all while supporting your local literacy non-profit.

100 years of Marshmallow Fluff is celebrated this Saturday!!

Note that fifty percent of Fluff sold is purchased in New England and upstate New York. Lots of marshmallow memories in those areas of the country.

A great show for great causes and Vermont Reading Partners is fortunate to be named as a recipient by two vendors at this show tomorrow. Highview Woodwork and Two Mountain Farm Books will be donating proceeds to VRP so please come out and shop tomorrow.

The first Vermont Reading Partners Spelling Bee is in the books !! We had such a great time last evening with a fabulous turnout of teams as well as lots of folks who came to watch and cheer on their favorite team.

Thanks so much to the Manchester Community Library for hosting the event, Seth Bongartz as the evening's emcee, Rob Hunter, Allyson Hoffman, and Jim Comar as the judges, Neil Post as timekeeper, Nick Price as the A/V technician, GNAT-TV who filmed the entire event, Rob Peters and Cub Scout Pack 333 for being the team escorts, and all the community members who participated and sponsored teams.

We thank all of you for your continued support of Vermont Reading Partners and the work we do in the community.

Do you hear the BUZZZZ? The Vermont Reading Partners Spelling Bee is coming up on November 9, 2016 at 6:30 pm. So far, the following groups are registered and ready to compete: The Dorset Village Library, GNAT, Manchester Community Library, Decorative Interiors, Manchester Town Hall Bone Builders, Two Mountain Farm Books, Manchester Town Hall Staff, Stifel Nicolaus & Company, and the Manchester Lions Club is fielding TWO teams. For the 2nd year in a row, Vermont Reading Partners has been able to provide a Campership to one Cub Scout in Manchester, VT's Pack 333 to attend overnight summer camp. Pack 333 has assisted VRP with our craft fair in 2014 and 2015 and will be on site to help with our Spelling Bee fundraiser in November 2016. Pack 333 places an emphasis on literacy and reading even at camp and we are proud to be able to support them with an annual Campership.
