School is starting and please make sure everyone pays attention to the school busses and stop when the lights are flashing and the stop sign is out in both directions. New penalties start January 1, 2027. I personally think they should be harsher. But it’s a start.

Let us not forget that five years ago today, 13 brave American service members were taken from their families and their country by an Islamic terrorist in Kabul, Afghanistan.
We will never forget them, and never again allow our men and women in uniform to be so utterly betrayed.

Manchester Police Senior Walks Are Back This Fall!

Get outside, get moving, and enjoy some great spots around Manchester with members of the Manchester Police Community Affairs Division!

Our 2026 Fall Senior Walks are a great opportunity to exercise, socialize, and explore the city alongside Manchester Police officers. Walks are approximately 2–3 miles, take about one hour, and begin at 9 a.m. Most are held on Mondays, with two Wednesday walks noted below.

Wednesday, September 9 – Manchester River Walk: East
📍 Meet at the Hilton Garden Inn parking lot, 101 S. Commercial St.

Monday, September 14 – Rockingham Rec Trail
📍 Meet at the old CVS, 271 Mammoth Rd.

Monday, September 21 – Livingston Park
📍 Meet in the parking lot near the playground, Hooksett Rd. at Redcoat Ln.

Monday, September 28 – Manchester River Walk: West
📍 Meet at the rear of the West Side Ice Arena on Electric St.

Monday, October 5 – Weston Tower
📍 Meet in the parking lot near the baseball field across from Trinity High School.

Wednesday, October 14 – Manchester/Goffstown Rail Trail
📍 Meet at the front of the West Side Ice Arena on Electric St.

Monday, October 19 – Rock Rimmon
📍 Meet behind Northwest Elementary School on Youville St., in the parking lot next to the baseball fields.

Monday, October 26 – South Manchester Trail
📍 Meet in the Manchester Commons Shopping Center parking lot near the UPS Store off S. Willow St.

Monday, November 2 – Massabesic Lake Trail
📍 Meet in the paved parking lot off Londonderry Turnpike, just south of the Massabesic Traffic Circle.

Monday, November 9 – Manchester Cedar Swamp Preserve
📍 Countryside Boulevard is off Hackett Hill Rd. The trailhead is about a half-mile up on the left. Parking is available in the lot or along the street.
