The Manhattan-Elwood Public Library will be hosting Cheryl Joseph as she teaches families how to empower their children throughout the school year. This event will take place September 8th at 6:00 PM. Sign up now in person or online at mpld.org

This program is designed to help parents build a foundation of trust, resilience, and confidence in their children.

Cheryl Joseph holds a Master of Science in Applied Family and Child Studies and brings extensive experience in early childhood education and care. Her professional background includes teaching, consulting, training, administration, school-age programming, higher education instruction, workshop development and facilitation, and professional development advising. She currently serves as a Professor of Early Childhood Education at Oakton College, where she is also the ECE Club Advisor and one of the Faculty Professional Development Co-Liaisons. Since 2001, Cheryl has led workshops for community programs and organizations and is both a Gateways to Opportunity Registry Trainer and an ITN Curriculum Trainer.
