Severe thunderstorms are expected today, with damaging wind gusts as the main threat. Heavy rain may also cause localized flash flooding, so avoid flooded roads—Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

Stay weather-aware and make sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts, such as weather apps, NOAA Weather Radio, or local news. Conditions can change quickly—stay safe and stay informed.

If you have outdoor plans, keep an eye on the sky and be ready to move indoors if storms approach. Staying informed is the best way to stay safe. ⛈️

The Department of Public Safety had an incredible evening attending a few different National Night Out events across Lancaster County!

Our team enjoyed meeting so many community members, answering questions, and sharing important emergency preparedness guides to help everyone stay informed and ready. Thank you to each neighborhood that welcomed us.

We’re grateful for the chance to connect, support, and continue building a stronger, safer community together. We hope to see everyone again next year for National Night Out 2027!
