The May 2 Work Day is canceled due to weather. Rain is certain for Friday which will make it too muddy to get anything done. If you've been to Rose Hill after a rain, you know how sticky the clay soil gets. When we have a reschedule date it will be posted here.

Last Saturday's Rose Hill Cemetery work day was a success. Our small group worked to gather and remove dead trees, treat undesired vegetation, and pick up trash along the road. It was a beautiful day.

Saturday was a beautiful day at Rose Hill. A small group tackled the dead Hackberry trees and hundreds of soapberry and elm seedlings that were crowding larger trees. A neighboring land owner came by to learn more about Rose Hill's history and we enjoyed talking with him. We left just before a welcome rain shower. Stay tuned for the next get together, likely in February.

The cemetery work day for April 27 is cancelled. Mowing has been arranged and the property will be mowed before that date. Stay tuned for our annual RHCA meeting date.

03/31/2019

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 27 and plan to meet at Rose Hill with mowers and trimmers. The grass has not been mowed for some time so the trimmers/weed eaters will be very useful. As always, wear sturdy shoes and clothing and bring water to drink. We will concentrate on the cemetery inside the chain link fence. If there's time to mow along the drive, we will address that too.

Start time is 8:00 am to take advantage of cooler mornings. We will work until we are finished mowing or as long as each person wants.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help mow the cemetery today. We were able to finish the inside section with time and energy left to mow along the gravel drive. Rose Hill looks SO much better! It was good to spend a little time with good people. Thanks Bennie, Doug, Joan, Mike, Jim, Greg, and Garrett.
