It's election day!
An outright ban on renewable energy projects doesn’t make sense. Projects should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A NO vote on this referendum means that Richland County goes back to considering each proposal on its own merits and allowing county residents the opportunity to voice their views on each project individually.

In July 2025, our county commissioners enacted a ban on large-scale solar and wind projects in 11 of 18 townships. Tomorrow, you have the opportunity to tell them NO and keep the siting process in Richland County exactly as it has been for decades. A reporter from State Newsroom visited our county recently to see what all the fuss is about and meet the people behind this effort to protect property rights and stop government overreach.

Roughly a third of Ohio’s counties have banned large-scale renewable energy developments in unincorporated areas. Richland County is one of the first to hold a referendum.

🚨BREAKING NEWS 🚨
"Mission accomplished." That's what Commissioner Darrell Banks emailed a gas industry political consultant moments after voting to ban solar and wind in Richland County. Richland County residents suspected it all along. Now we have the time-stamped receipts to prove it.
Stop government overreach. Vote NO tomorrow!

Brian is the Business Manager for the IBEW Local 688, a father, and a Madison Township resident. He has been volunteering with this campaign from the beginning, and has reminded us all over the past few months that voting NO is about ensuring a fair process. Voting NO is about using the regulated approval process that is already in place. It is not a promise, it is restoring the process.

VOTE NO TOMORROW MAY 5TH.

This decision is too big for us to let our elected officials make it for everybody without hearing from Richland County Residents. That's why we fought to get it on the ballot - let the people of Richland County vote. Let us decide who has the right to tell farmers and landowners what they cannot do on their land.
Voting NO does not approve any projects. Voting NO does not mean anybody HAS TO do anything differently with their land. Voting NO does mean that each person gets a choice.

Vote NO on Tuesday May 5th to protect property rights. Don't let a handful of people decide for everybody.

Support our farmers. Vote No!
