March 23-25, 2025 MNW FCCLA Chapter Members, Colby Bacon and Brayden Bush, along with their Adviser, Mrs. Heather Hull, attended the Iowa FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Cedar Rapids. Colby and Brayden earned 1st place for their Level 1 Cake Decorating project and a Silver Medal for their Level 1 Sports Nutrition STAR Event project and presentation. They were just two points away from being eligible to be selected to compete at the National FCCLA Leadership Conference with their Sports Nutrition project. Colby, Brayden, and Mrs. Hull came away with LOTS of information and ideas for our local chapter while attending the conference. If you see either Colby or Brayden, please congratulate them. The future looks bright for MNW FCCLA!

Having a great time at ! Drove the 2 1/2 hours to the event had our cake decorating competition yesterday. Sports Nutrition STAR Event today along with some breakout sessions and the business meeting. Finishing out the night with some fun and games. All done tomorrow when we will see how our projects were rated and head for home.

The strawberries for the MNW FCCLA Strawberry Sales Fundraiser are scheduled to arrive at the school tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4th. We are selling funky socks as one of our fundraisers this school year. In addition to the money we gain from the fundraiser, the We Help Too organization will give our FCCLA Chapter a pair of socks for every three packs we sell. We will donate those socks to a local organization.

We will be selling socks this Saturday, December 7, at the Doug Wood Wrestling Tournament at the Junior/Senior High School in Manson until about 12:30 pm. If you can't make it to the tournament, you can use this link to purchase socks. The online store closes December 11th.
