We're rolling into September this week and that means a brand new month of fun at your local library! Stop by this week for Preschool Storytime and Movers & Shakers for our littles. Teens can join us afterschool this Friday for a session of the Teen Advisory Board and learn more about earning volunteer hours and how to help at the library. Don't forget: We'll be closed this coming Saturday and the following Monday for Labor Day.

Manvel administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 7:30 am. The regular meeting of City Council, typically held on Mondays, will shift to Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Trash collection will NOT be affected by the holiday. Heads up, Rodeo Palms, next week is your week for street sweeping! Public Works crews will be in the neighborhood from August 31 – September 4, 2026, conducting routine street sweeping. To help crews clean streets, we ask residents to move parked vehicles off the road during the day. On trash collection days, we ask that trash and recycling containers remain at the curb rather than in the street to allow the sweeper to navigate the area more easily.
