PSA from Public Works: Pet waste left on the ground doesn't just create an eyesore... it can also wash into storm drains, creeks, bayous, and other waterways, contributing to water pollution and the spread of harmful bacteria! When walking your pet, always remember to bag it and pitch it. Properly disposing of pet waste helps protect our local waterways, wildlife, and community health. Heads up, Lakeland and Terra Estates, next week is your week for street sweeping! Public Works crews will be in the neighborhood from June 1 – 5, 2026, conducting routine street sweeping. To help crews clean streets, we ask residents to move parked vehicles off the road during the day. On trash collection days, we ask that trash and recycling containers remain at the curb rather than in the street to allow the sweeper to navigate the area more easily. Learn more at www.cityofmanvel.com/streetsweeping. 🧹
