On Tuesday, November 3, the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District (ISD 622) will ask voters to consider a $800 per pupil operating levy to support day-to-day school operations, including protecting class sizes, supporting essential student programs, retaining high-quality teachers and support staff, and maintaining critical security systems.

Our students and teachers have made do with significantly less funding than other districts for a long time, and there is an opportunity to remedy that in November. To learn more about this year's request, visit the link.

Today marks 106 years since the ratification of the 19th Amendment! The 19th Amendment subsequently became part of our constitution on August 26, 1920. We celebrate this milestone achievement for women's suffrage, particularly as voting rights are under attack.

In many parts of the country, women of color remained largely excluded from the ballot box at the time the 19th Amendment was passed. Pivotal legislation such as the Snyder Act of 1924, Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the 1975 extension of the Voting Rights Act helped pave the way for Black, Native American, Asian, and Latina women to get access to vote.

The best way to celebrate is to keep fighting for fair and equitable voting access for all citizens. Tell your representatives to reject the SAVE act!

Celebrating the 100-year milestone of the 19th Amendment, this educational video offers an insightful look into the history of women's suffrage in the United States. It highlights key moments such as the Seneca Falls Convention, the influence of suffragists like Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady S...

Have you heard of the Safe at Home program?

Minnesota’s Safe at Home program protects survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and other threats by maintaining address confidentiality. And participants can still vote without exposing their address.

If you’re enrolled in Safe at Home, you can:

1) Register to vote confidentially using your assigned Safe at Home address

2) Vote absentee without revealing your location

3) Stay fully protected while participating in our democracy

Your voice matters, and Minnesota has strong systems in place to keep you safe while you cast your ballot.

For details, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Safe at Home page or contact the Safe at Home office directly.
