🚌 BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER 🚑

School is starting back up, which means our roads will once again be busy with school buses, young drivers, parents, and children walking or biking to and from school.

As first responders, we’re asking everyone to slow down, stay alert, and give yourself a little extra time on the road.

🛑 Remember your school bus safety:
• Watch for flashing lights and stop signs on buses.
• STOP when required and never try to pass a stopped school bus.
• Be especially cautious near bus stops, intersections, and school zones.
• Keep an eye out for children along the roadway—they may not always see you.
• Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.

A few extra seconds of patience could prevent a tragedy.

🚨 THE WORLDS FAIR SAFETY REMINDER 🚨

The fair is in full swing, which means there will be more foot traffic than usual—especially along State Route 339 after dark. Please slow down, stay alert, and watch closely for pedestrians walking to and from the fairgrounds.

🎡 The fair parade is also happening tonight! 🤞🏼Expect extra traffic, pedestrians, and possible delays around town. Please use caution, give yourself a little extra time, and keep an eye out for everyone enjoying the festivities.

🚑 Waterford Community Fair Courtesy Shuttle 🚑

A HUGE thank-you to our Beverly/Waterford Squad for reaching out and offering a courtesy shuttle service during the Waterford Community Fair! 💚

This service is being offered with a special focus on helping our elderly and disabled fairgoers who may have difficulty walking longer distances or getting around the fairgrounds. We want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy the fair, and we are so grateful to our squad for helping make that possible. ❤️

🧠 KNOW THE SIGNS OF A STROKE — B.E. F.A.S.T.

B — Balance: Sudden loss of balance or coordination
E — Eyes: Sudden blurred, double or lost vision
F — Face: One side of the face drooping or numb
A — Arms: Sudden weakness or numbness in one arm
S — Speech: Slurred speech or difficulty speaking
T — Time: Call 911 immediately!

A stroke is a medical emergency, and every second counts. Do not wait to see if the symptoms improve, and do not drive yourself to the hospital—call 911 so EMS can begin care right away. (www.stroke.org)

CPR Registration Form

Registration is open through July 24!

Date: Saturday, August 1
Time: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Course: Heartsaver Complete
Cost: $20 per person

This comprehensive and informative class will cover:

• Adult, child, and infant CPR
• AED use
• Choking emergencies
• Extensive first aid topics

Limited Registration

Only 18 participants will be accepted for this class. Limiting the class size helps ensure a proper student-to-instructor ratio and enough equipment for every participant.

🚨Registration is not complete until payment has been received.🚨

Age Requirements

•Participants age 15-12 must have a parent or guardian attend the class with them.

•Participants ages 16–18 must have an adult signature to participate.

Payment Information

Prepayment is required to secure your spot. Payment must be made by cash or check.

Please make checks payable to MM Health System and write “Heart Saver Total” in the memo line.

Payments may be dropped off at our building between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Please understand that our crew may be out on an emergency call and may not be present when you arrive.

We will also be available next Thursday (the 16th) during our meeting night from 6:00 PM until approximately 8:30 PM to accept payments.

Come prepared to learn valuable, potentially life-saving skills!
