FOP Martin Boots Lodge 79 Welcome to the Grant County Fraternal Order Of Police . Fop79.com

Looking for recommendations for a mowing company or someone reliable who can help maintain our lodge/property this season.

We are working with a tight budget, so we’re hoping to find someone willing to work with us on pricing or possibly help support the project as we continue renovating and improving the property.

The property is a work in progress, but it serves an important purpose for law enforcement training and community use. Any recommendations or referrals would be appreciated.

We’re doing a final push on the ceiling this Friday morning (May 1st) and Saturday morning (May 2nd)

As we’ve gotten further into it, we found that the issue, especially the mold, was more spread than expected and an unforeseen problem, so we’re adjusting and handling it the right way.

Instead of rushing through it and having to come back later, we’re going to do it right the first time. That means removing the affected sections so we can rebuild it properly.

We could really use some help. If you’re able to come out, we’ll have masks and safety glasses provided. All we’re asking is if you can bring:

Ladders
Basic tools for ceiling/demo work (pry bars, sawzalls, etc.)

Even a couple hours makes a difference. Appreciate anyone willing to come out and help us get this done the right way.

We’re kicking off demo at the FOP property this Saturday April 4th and April 11th til tired.... and could use all the help we can get. We picked up a solid set of tools to get us started, including hammers, pry bars, a Sawzall, oscillating tools, extension cords, and PPE (gloves, masks, eye protection).

We still need:

Ladders
Wheelbarrows
Large shovels (for cleanup)
Work lights
Any extra tools (Sawzalls, demo tools, etc.)

Game plan:
We’re taking this place down to bare bones....full gut. As we go, we’ll document what needs replaced (footers, framing, etc.) so we can have materials ready for the next phase.

Timeline:

🧱 This month: full teardown
🪵 Next month: framing, drywall, plaster
🔧 June: finishing work

If you’ve got time, tools, or just want to help out....show up. This is how we build something worth having.

We’re looking to pick up a 20ft conex box for the FOP property.

Doesn’t need to be pretty...just structurally solid (no major rust-through or damage). Repaint is fine.

If you or someone you know has one for sale, shoot me a message or drop a comment with details and price.

Appreciate any leads

Big shoutout to Chuckwagon Pizzafor coming through clutch tonight 🍕

They stepped up last minute and helped feed a lot of officers during this random blizzard....can’t thank them enough for supporting us when it mattered.

Also appreciate Redline Underground LLC for stopping by and taking the time to walk through how they’ll be helping us this spring. We’re looking forward to partnering with them as we start pushing forward on some much needed renovations at the range.

THIS IS THE CALL

The FOP Martin Boots Lodge Range will not rebuild itself.

If we want a range we’re proud of…
If we want a place to train, host agencies, and build something lasting…

Then it’s on us.

We are actively seeking:

Volunteers for demolition & rebuild
Electricians, carpenters, concrete, skilled trades
Dumpster donation or discounted waste services
Lumber, drywall, insulation, hardware
Equipment use (trailers, skid steers, tools)
Monetary donations
Local business sponsors who support law enforcement training

No more “someone should.”
No more waiting.

This lodge was built by members who stepped up.

Now it’s our turn.

If you’re willing to volunteer, donate, or connect us with resources comment below, message us directly or email [email protected]

Let’s build something we’re proud to hand to the next generation.

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 79 would like to thank Nicholas McPike #181 for his years of loyal service to the Lodge and to the citizens of Grant County.
Nick consistently put the interests of our members and fellow officers first, often behind the scenes and without recognition. His time, effort, and dedication to the Lodge are sincerely appreciated.
While this recognition comes later than intended following our last meeting, our gratitude is no less meaningful. We wish him nothing but the best in what comes next.
